Counselling Skills Weekend Certificate

2-day weekend course | Exeter

Request an application form

The Counselling Skills weekend certificate has been developed for students who wish to apply for the Iron Mill advanced courses but have completed their certificate in counselling online.  As advanced courses require face-to-face counselling skills experience, the College doesn't accept online only certificates.  This weekend certificate provides the additional experience needed and upon successful completion, candidates may make application to the advanced courses, subject to other criteria being met.

At the heart of the Counselling Skills Weekend Certificate are five overarching educational aims. These are that the course will:

  • encourage and provide opportunities for the development of basic counselling skills;
  • enhance student self-awareness and reflective skills;
  • encourage awareness of difference and diversity;
  • facilitate group participation
  • encourage use of self-reflection

Please email enquiries@ironmill.co.uk   to request an application form.
